Sodium sulfadiazin-e is in powder form of milky white crystal. Sulfadiazin-e sodium is a medium effective sulfonamide in the treatment of systemic infections. It has a wide antibacterial spectrum and can inhibit most gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It can penetrate into the cerebrospinal fluid through the blood-brain barrier, especially for streptococcus (meningostreptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic streptococcus) and toxoplasmosis.

Indication:
Sulfadiazin-e sodium is mainly used in the treatment of patients with meningitis caused by sensitive Neisseria meningitidis.
It can also be used to treat:
1. Acute bronchitis and mild pneumonia caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae and other streptococcus to which it is sensitive.
2. Nocardia star.
3. Adjunct to chloroquine-resistant falciparum malaria treatment.
4. Treatment of toxoplasmosis caused by murine toxoplasmosis with pyrimidine.
